A Journey of Growth and Dedication

Thirty years is a long time to dedicate to anything, and for Tim Snook at Williams Concrete Accessories (WCA), it has been a journey filled with learning, challenges, and personal growth. When he first joined WCA, a division of Williams Form Engineering, at the age of 28, he stepped into the warehouse as the company’s very first hired employee. Little did he know that this job would turn into a lifelong career, shaping him both professionally and personally.

Starting in the warehouse, he quickly gained an appreciation for the hard work and precision required in the industry. Over time, he transitioned to the front counter, where he learned firsthand about customer service, product knowledge, and the importance of strong business relationships. From there, he had the incredible opportunity to work his way through nearly every position at WCA, gaining a deep understanding of operations from the ground up.

One of the most rewarding aspects of his career was the mentorship and guidance he received along the way. He was fortunate to work under and alongside incredible leaders like Tony Kasparek, Mike Bowles, and many others who helped shape his professional journey. Their wisdom, encouragement, and leadership set the foundation for his success and reinforced the values that WCA stands for.

Embracing Change and Innovation

While each role he held presented new challenges and opportunities, one of his proudest accomplishments was leading the conversion to WCA’s new electronic inventory system. It was a major shift for the company, requiring extensive planning, training, and adaptation. The transition was not without its hurdles, but the improvements in efficiency, organization, and overall workflow made all the hard work worthwhile. Seeing the positive impact of this change on WCA’s daily operations was incredibly gratifying and reaffirmed his belief in the power of innovation and continuous improvement.

Life Beyond Work

Outside of his professional life, he has a deep passion for the great outdoors. There’s nothing quite like the feeling of being on the water, whether boating, camping, or fishing for salmon and Kokanee. One of his favorite pastimes is harvesting Dungeness crab and razor clams with family and friends, a tradition that brings them closer together and creates lasting memories. Nature has always been his escape, a place to recharge and appreciate the simple joys of life.

He is also incredibly blessed to have a wonderful and loving wife, Jan, by his side. Together, they have built a beautiful family with three children and two amazing granddaughters who bring them endless joy. Family means everything to him, and he cherishes every moment spent with them.

Looking Ahead

Reflecting on three decades at WCA, he feels nothing but gratitude. He has witnessed the company’s growth, experienced countless changes, and built relationships that will last a lifetime. This journey has taught him resilience, adaptability, and the value of hard work. As he looks to the future, he remains excited about what’s to come, both professionally and personally.

“To everyone who has been a part of my journey – thank you.  Here’s to the next chapter, wherever it may lead!” Tim Snook, Vice President – WCA
