Employee Spotlight: Courtney Taylor – Celebrating 20 Years at the Core of Williams Fabricated Rebar
When Courtney A. Taylor first walked through our doors in March of 2005 (20 years ago) as a temporary receptionist, we knew we’d found someone special, but none of us could have imagined the remarkable journey ahead. True to her nature, Courtney never sat still for long. By always asking “How can I help?”, she turned a temporary role into a career defined by dedication, curiosity, and growth.
Over the years, Courtney mastered accounts payable, order entry, purchasing, and accounts receivable, all while soaking up everything there was to know about Williams Fabricated Rebar. When her mentor, Joe McMahon, retired in 2021, Courtney seamlessly stepped up to lead. And in the middle of it all, she accomplished something she’s incredibly proud of: earning her Bachelor of Science in Office Administration and Technology from Valdosta State University, all while working full time.
Today, as General Manager of Williams Fabricated Rebar at our Lithia Springs location, Courtney keeps her hands in every part of the operation. Lithia Springs is one of only two Williams sites with a fabricated rebar division, and under Courtney’s leadership, it runs like clockwork. From order entry and purchasing to billing and inventory, Courtney makes sure every piece fits together while staying connected with the larger WFEC family, ready to collaborate and help wherever she can. But if you ask her, she’ll say it’s her team that makes it all possible.
Courtney’s impact spans every project, from a record-breaking $2.2 million shipment turned around in just three months, to complex jobs that take years to complete. Every ton of fabricated rebar that leaves our yard has Courtney’s expertise behind it.
Traveling the World
Outside of work, Courtney’s energy and passion are just as inspiring. She has a wanderlust heart and loves vacationing anywhere, anytime, with anyone. Her dream adventures include a Viking Cruise through Scandinavia and sipping Malbec in Argentina’s Mendoza mountain range and Chile, two extremes that perfectly match her adventurous spirit.
At home, Courtney is the storm to her husband Jason’s calm. Together, they’re raising two wonderful kids, Monroe and Dean, along with their pups, Walter and Buckshot. When she’s not managing projects or planning her next trip, you’ll find her reading or spending time with her family and her tight-knit village that keeps her grounded. Her favorite saying sums it up perfectly:
“It’s fine, I’m fine, everything is fine in Lithia.”
And what’s next for Courtney? She’s got her sights set on becoming VP of Williams Fabricated Rebar one day, and if her story so far tells us anything, we know she’ll make it happen.
Thank you, Courtney, for your unwavering dedication, your contagious spirit, and your unstoppable drive. Williams is stronger because of you.
