Employee Spotlight: Celebrating 10 Years with William (Bill) Zuber
This month, Williams Form Engineering is proud to celebrate a remarkable milestone for one of our own, William “Bill” Zuber, Quality Assurance Specialist at our Belmont location, who marks 10 years with the company. Known around the shop by many nicknames, Bill, Will I Am, Billy, Willy, Will, and Wilbur, he’s a vital part of our quality team and a valued colleague.
From Plastics to Precision
With over 20 years of experience in manufacturing, including plastic injection molding and thermoforming, Bill brought a wealth of expertise to WFEC when he joined our CAD department a decade ago. He holds an A.A.A.S. in Plastics Manufacturing Technology from Grand Rapids Community College and is a LEED Green Associate, bringing a unique sustainability-focused perspective to his work.
Ensuring Quality Every Day
Today, Bill manages the paperwork behind our wind testing processes, ensuring customers receive products that meet WFEC’s exacting standards and any project-specific requirements. He also creates LEED documentation upon request, verifies the use of domestic materials when required, and works closely with colleagues to produce and verify Certificates of Compliance. His attention to detail helps maintain the trust and confidence our customers place in us.
A Journey of Growth
Bill is quick to point out that his time at Williams has been more than just a job, it’s been life-changing. Since joining the company, he’s quit smoking, lost weight, met and married his wife Jennifer, and found a stability he hadn’t experienced in previous roles. “Literally every aspect of my life has improved in the past 10 years,” he says.
Life Outside of Work
Outside the office, Bill can often be found outdoors, gardening, tending his flowers, or tackling one of his many half-finished projects. He’s an adventurer at heart, always pushing past his comfort zone, whether it’s zip-lining despite a fear of heights, snorkeling above a 7,500-foot drop-off, or competing in a taco-eating contest.
Bill is also a proud dad and stepdad to six children, ages 34 to 11, and a fan of the Expeditionary Force book series (he’s still holding out hope for a movie adaptation).
Looking Ahead
Ten years is an incredible milestone, and we’re grateful for Bill’s dedication, hard work, and positive attitude. His journey is a testament to how the right environment and team can help someone thrive, both professionally and personally. Congratulations, Bill, on this achievement, and here’s to many more years together!
