Celebrating 10 Remarkable Years with Betty Moore
This July, we’re thrilled to shine the spotlight on someone who brings warmth, experience, and an unmatched work ethic to our team every single day, Betty Moore, Administrative Assistant at our Lithia Springs location.
Betty’s story is one of resilience, reinvention, and a lifelong drive to make a difference. Growing up on a rural 100-acre farm in Georgia with her parents, grandparents, and five brothers, Betty learned the value of hard work early on. At just 14, she landed her first summer job at City Hall in Marietta, where she discovered her love for working and serving others, a spark that would fuel her entire career.
At 16, she married an Army soldier and traded farm life for the adventure of living abroad in Germany. There, she juggled roles as a secretary at an NCO Club by day, helping organize German-American festivals, and bartending at a German club by night. Back in the States in her early twenties, Betty jumped into the hotel industry. She started as a Sales Manager and worked her way up to Regional Director of Sales & Marketing, managing five hotels around Atlanta’s airport, and keeping them full around the clock. Her days (and nights) were packed with securing airline contracts, corporate accounts, conventions, sports groups, and black-tie galas.
After 23 successful years in hospitality, and many miles traveled, Betty knew it was time for a new chapter, closer to home. She wanted her weekends back for her children and grandchildren. In came Williams Form Engineering, and for the last decade, Betty has been the heartbeat of our Lithia team.
Today, Betty is the friendly face and steady hand behind so much of what keeps Lithia running smoothly. From managing shipping logs and reports to handling vendor and customer files, A/P invoices, greeting visitors, and serving as our HR Representative, Betty wears many hats, and wears them all well. If something needs doing, Betty’s the first to say,
“Nothing to it but to do it.”
Throughout her career, Betty’s organized major events, led meetings and teams, handled budgets, and even coordinated Super Bowl and Olympics banquets, all while cheering on her kids’ sports teams as “Team Mom.” She does it all with positivity and an unwavering dedication to her work family and her own.
Free Time
When she’s not at Williams, Betty finds joy in life’s simple pleasures: early mornings outside when the world is still, cooking for hours (which she says brings her calm), reading a good book, or watching movies. She treasures every moment spent watching her three grown children and five grandchildren grow and thrive.
And in true Betty style, she’s even starred in not one, but two TV commercials! Just ask her about her love for tacos, potato chips, and a very good Scotch, she’ll probably share a laugh and a piece of her trademark positivity too.
For Betty, success has always come down to her unwavering faith, her deep love for people, and her fearless willingness to start over when life calls for it. Her advice to everyone?
“Always be positive, smile, share your happiness and blessings, and never give up.”
Betty, thank you for 10 years of dedication, heart, and an energy that lifts everyone around you. Williams is better because you’re part of our story, and we’re so glad you chose us for this chapter. Here’s to you and to many more!
